Share Accounts

Mid-Island Federal Credit Union offers a variety of savings accounts to help you save and plan for your future. All of our deposit accounts are federally insured up to at least $250,000 by the National Credit Union Share Insurance Fund (NCUSIF), which means that your money is safe! This fund is administered by the National Credit Union Administration (NCUA), an independent agency of the U.S. Government.

Share Account Rates
Dividends are paid based on the net income of the credit union and any future expenditure at the time that dividends are due to the members.

Loans

Loans are available for all good purposes. Interest rates are very competitive and may vary according to the purpose of the loan, FICO score and collateral offered.

All credit union loans are calculated as simple interest, with finance charges based on the actual time the borrowed funds are used. Members are allowed to apply for all types of loans. We offer the following types of loans:

  • New and Used Cars
  • First Mortgages
  • Personal (Unsecured)
  • Share Pledged
  • Student Loans

Loan protection and credit disability insurance are available at a minimal cost. Loan requests are responded to promptly and in strict confidence.

Online Banking

Accessing your Account...it's all about convenience. Click on the Home Banking Login located at the top right hand corner of MIFCU home page and follow the instruction provided. Remember to have your account number handy. After you are signed up you will be able to do the following:

  • Transfer funds between your accounts at MIFCU

  • View your balances

  • Review your account history

  • Request a check that will be sent to your mailing address on file

  • Pay your loan

  • Pay your bills for a small fee

  • Receive bill pay reminders

  • Download transactions

  • Receive your statement electronically

Financial Management Training

Would you like to learn more about money management and how to make it work for you? Mid Island Federal Credit Union is providing you with the hands on experience through Manage Your Money(MYM). MYM teaches a range of must-know topics:

  • Budgets: how to make them, how to keep them

  • Responsible checking account habits

  • Credit: the good, the bad, the ugly

  • How to read your Credit report and how to update information on your report

  • Saving and shopping for a big purchase

  • Planning and investing for the future

Workshops offered two times per year call us or ask your member service representatives for information about the next workshop date.
